Please join us for a conversation with Mexican artist Chantal Peñalosa Fong, Artist-in-Residence at the University of Puget Sound. Peñalosa Fong is developing an exhibition that connects the archival and biographical histories of Chinese migrants with the anti-Asian policies implemented during the late 19th and early 20th centuries in both Mexico and the United States. Her work aims to construct a transnational history of Chinese migration to the West Coast from her hometown in Tecate, Mexico, to Tacoma, Washington. Her exhibition opens on March 28 and runs through April 12 in Kittredge Gallery at the University of Puget Sound.
